Summer 2024 Internship at Galvion
Portsmouth, NH
Over the course of my internship, I had the privilege to work on a variety of different projects related to Galvion’s Advanced Concept’s Integrated Helmet System. All the work that I completed is proprietary and images and reference material to my projects cannot be shared on this site. However, some of the skills that I developed over the course of the summer are highlighted below.
-
I used Altium to create custom PCBs to interface between proprietary connections and external sensors/devices. Doing so, I learned techniques to improve the effectiveness and organization of my schematics and layouts.
-
Using SolidWorks, I modeled housings for my PCB designs to interface with the helmet's top-mounted connection point.
-
After designing parts in SolidWorks, I used native slicer tools to print my prototypes on the Prussa MK4 and Formlabs Form 3 in various materials.
-
I wrote firmware to adjust the values of LED driver registers via I2C commands received from the helmet system.
